Course Information

Adult nurses provide a constant source of support and care to patients. Our degree in adult nursing prepares you for the role and responsibilities as a registered nurse. You'll be working in the NHS serving south-east London and Kent.

We provide you with the skills to meet the needs of patients and their significant others. This will include experience in the hospital, independent and the home environment. You will learn accountability for the important role you will play in their lives.

We prepare you to apply for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Our degree will help you achieve the outcomes identified in the NMC Standards for Pre-registration Nurse Education (2009).

What you should know about this course:

  •  Nursing at Greenwich is number one in London for student satisfaction (2019 National Student Survey).
  •  Our highly qualified staff are both teachers and researchers, giving you access to a talented pool of educators.
  •  You will be placed in a NHS trust for the three-year course, although you will have the opportunity to change your placement area for part of Year 3.
  •  We are currently developing a brand-new simulation suite where you will be able to practice your acquired skills such as care of the acutely ill adult.
  •  Placements will support your knowledge and understanding of the importance of multi-disciplinary working / learning that occurs in such areas.
