Subject prerequisites

Course Information

Become a degree qualified accountant by studying the Bachelor of Accounting, offered by Chisholm in partnership with La Trobe University. This undergraduate degree will provide you with the analytical, communication and leadership skills to help you enter a career field that's always in high demand.
Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program. Once complete, you can develop your skills further with a university post graduate course in accounting.
During the course, you'll gain knowledge and skills in areas such as cost accounting, corporate reporting, organisational behaviour, business planning, financial reporting, management accounting, accounting and the law, ethics, advanced financial accounting, strategic and international management, auditing, taxation, accounting principles, Australian Financial Systems, accounting information systems, business tax requirements and computerised accounting systems.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Accounting will be eligible to apply for membership with Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
