Admission Requirements

Entry requirement 

English requirement

  • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0

  • TOEFL Internet based (iBT): overall score of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing.

  • La Trobe College Australia ELICOS (LTCA): completion of EFS level 5B with minimum 60% overall and 60% in final exam.

  • La Trobe College Australia Foundation Studies (LTCA): completion of Foundation studies with 60% in English (Academic Communication).

  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): overall score of 50 with no communicative skill score less than 50.

  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 169 with no less than 169 in any component.

  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 169 with no less than 169 in any component.

Subject prerequisites

VCE: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English. Applicants with comparable qualifications will be considered.HSC: One of English (Standard), English (Advanced) (Band 2), English as a Second Language (Band 3).NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.

Our Bachelor of Business will prepare you to enter the workforce equipped with both the confidence and practical skills you'll need to succeed. You'll establish important foundations in project management, marketing, accounting, data analysis and entrepreneurship. And you'll improve your adaptability, resilience and communication skills—all highly valued by employers.

Choose from a wide range of specialisations—with more than 10 major and double degree options—and learn from industry experts and experienced researchers. Gain real-world experience through our work placement programs at organisations like Victoria Police and the Australian Taxation Office.

Depending on your subject choices, you may graduate eligible for registration with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
