You will:
Gain the ability to fulfil a range of civil engineering surveying tasks
Acquire the engineering skills to design simple structural steel, analyse statically indeterminate structures and design complex structures using reinforced concrete
Identify and manage environmental issues and associated risks relating to civil engineering, including water, transport, landscape, heritage and biodiversity

MEng (Hons) Civil Engineering at Salford meets the exemplifying academic benchmark for Chartered Engineer status requirement, enabling professional registration and institution membership.
The course provides a recognised route to a wide range of engineering career roles. Civil engineering career opportunities exist in range of industries, including aerospace, petrochemicals, road and rail transport, and information technology, as well as organisations such as the armed forces.
On graduation, you may choose to focus your career in structural design, infrastructure consultancy, or even the operation and maintenance of complex transport networks and power stations. Graduates may expect to reach senior management positions as their careers progress.
