English requirements

  • A minimum score of 460 on the evidence-based reading and writing section of the SAT is required.
  • A minimum score of 19 on the English section of the ACT is required.
  • The La Verne identification code for the TOEFL is 4381. A minimum score of 80 with acceptable bandwith scores is required.
  • A minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS with acceptable bandwith scores is required.

Course Information

The accounting program is designed to promote a thorough understanding of advanced concepts contained within accounting. Courses focus on the practical l and theoretical foundations of accounting as well as the analytical frameworks that guide more advanced topics.

The curriculum for the undergraduate B.S. in Accounting is comprised of 82 total credit hours. Of these, 30 hours are made up of courses focused on foundational concepts of accounting, economics, and business. An additional 52 credits are focused on advanced courses in accounting, taxation, and business.

Additionally, accounting students have the opportunity to complete a concentration through the Business Administration program, choosing from business management, information technology, international business, or marketing.

By graduation, students will be fully qualified to sit for all accounting exams, including the CPA (certified public accountant), CMA (certified management accountant), and CIA (certified internal auditor) exams. Before taking the CPA exam, students must complete an additional 22 credits of academic coursework at any accredited institution.
