Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited higher education institution in New Zealand, or an approved equivalent status (ad eundem statum)
  • Meet English language requirement
  • The Graduate Diploma in Valuation requires 120 credits as specified.
  • Students must complete VAPM 310 - The Valuation of Investment Property in order to proceed to VAPM 309 - Property Investment and Portfolio Analysis and VAPM 311 - Urban Valuation.

English requirements

  • IELTS: 6.0 overall, with no individual component less than 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 60 (with at least 18 in writing)
  • Cambrige English: Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE): Overall score of 169, with no individual component less than 162
  • Pearson Test of English PTE: 50 overall score - with no communicative skill less than 42

Course Information

This specialised Graduate Diploma is designed as an intensive property programme, providing a 'fast-track' entry qualification for suitable graduates seeking a career in property valuation.

If intending to seek professional registration as a Registered Valuer post-graduation, candidates should obtain accreditation pre-approval from the Valuers Registration Board before embarking on the chosen course of study for this Diploma. We recommend that future students talk to us at least two months before commencing study so we can work through this process
