At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Admission to most ANU programs is on a competitive basis. Therefore, meeting all admission requirements does not automatically guarantee entry.
Applicants must present a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.5/7.0
In line with the university's admissions policy and strategic plan, an assessment for admission may include competitively ranking applicants on the basis of specific academic achievement, English language proficiency and diversity factors.
Academic IELTS and IELTS Indicator: An overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component of the test.
TOEFL - internet based test : An overall score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening.
PTE Academic: An overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 55 in each of the communicative skills.
TOEFL - paper based test: A score of 570 with a TWE* score of 4.5.
Cambridge CAE Advanced (Post 2015): An overall score of 176 with a minimum of 169 in all sub-skills.
The Graduate Certificate of Accounting suits students with various aspirations, including:
Graduates with no background in accounting who can study concepts and techniques in accounting without the need to enrol in a full degree.
Graduates with prior accounting studies who wish to develop advanced knowledge in accounting without enrolling in a full Masters program.
Graduates with prior accounting studies who need up to four more courses to fully satisfy the admission requirements of the Australian professional accounting bodies.
The Certificate program is designed to articulate into the Master programs in accounting. Students who wish to continue their advanced studies and complete the Certificate program with a GPA of 4.5 will be able to transfer to the Master of Professional Accounting or Master of Accounting program.
The program is taught by research active academic staff. Students are exposed to professional and scholarly academic research in commerce, enhancing their academic and professional competence.
