This program provides hands-on practical skills in the concepts of quality (QA/QC) in a manufacturing environment that is controlled by good manufacturing practices, quality systems, and regulatory agencies.
Take this program if you have a diploma in science or a Bachelor of Science. You will be introduced to the following topics and concepts:
Quality Assurance (QA)
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and associated guidelines for drugs, natural health products, cannabis and food
Good documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity (DI)
Validation for equipment, methods, cleaning and process
Quality systems such as investigations, document management systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), change management system, recall management and inspection management
Food safety systems including hazard analysis critical control points and preventative control plans
Quality Control (QC)
Acceptance sampling methods
Testing of incoming materials and finished products according to industry standards
Operation of various laboratory equipment such as UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FTIR spectrophotometer, AAS spectrophotometer, GC and HPLC systems.
Basic Microbiology laboratory techniques
QC charts and data trending
