Entry Requirements

Applicants graduating from a high school outside of the U.S.

• SAT/ACT not required

• GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

English Requirements

  • TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language with a minimum Paper-Based score of 500, or a minimum Internet Based score of 61

  • IELTS – International English Language Test System with an overall band score of 6.0

  • PTE - Pearson's Test of English score of 46

  • Duolingo English Test score of 95

Course Information

In CSUCI's Anthropology program, you will be exposed to a multitude of disciplines, from biology to the fine arts. You will collect and interpret data, develop critical thinking and observation skills, and have opportunities to perform field studies in places ranging from California's Channel Islands to Asia. By developing a better understanding of ourselves and others, CSUCI Anthropology majors build skills that can be applied to any endeavor that deals with humans, culture and society – allowing them to offer insight into our past and present as well as solutions for our future.
