Gather the necessary materials prior to beginning the application process.
To apply for graduate study, you will need the following:
A completed Concordia University Chicago admission application.
A completed objective statement that provides information on your future educational goals.
Official, sealed transcripts from the institutions where your degrees were earned, showing all college and university coursework, with certified English translations of all transcripts originally prepared in any other language.
Any foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a Concordia-approved international credentialing service. Concordia-Chicago accepts evaluations from WES (World Education Services) and ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators).
A certified document pledging financial support for the first year of study, verifying the same or equally dependable source for the following years of study.
Two letters of recommendation from individuals able to comment on your academic proficiency, your personal character, your competence and the effectiveness of your professional work.
At least 12 prerequisite credit hours at the undergraduate level in a discipline appropriate to the program of application.
A professional resume.
Proof of English proficiency, via one of the following:
A score of at least 72 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — Concordia-Chicago’s DI code is 1140
A score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
A score of 6.0 on the Password Skills Test
Successful completion of Level 112 at an ELS Language School (ELS) or a certificate of completion of program from an English Language Institute (ELI), along with a recommendation of the program director
With injuries becoming increasingly more common, injury prevention is a critical part of working with any athletes. The Human Movement Science degree concentration will give students the knowledge to develop injury prevention programs and teach students how to help athletes improve functional capacity and correct faulty movement patterns.
Students pursuing this concentration will be prepared to pursue the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) credential.
