  • a Duolingo English Test with an earned score of at least 100
  • or a China National Higher Education Entrance Examination (Gaokao) English portion with an earned score of at least 120/150 (96/120) no more than two years before attendance at Florida Tech or
  • successfully completed Embassy English level B2; or
  • successfully completed Level 112 of the ELS English for Academic Purposes program; or
  • successfully completed the Kaplan International Higher Intermediate English level; or
  • successfully completed ELI level 8 at the UCF English Language Institute with a grade of B or better; or
  • successfully completed International Education Exchange Association PEAP level 6; or
  • successfully completed OHLA Advanced II & Elite 6

Course Information

Aircraft dispatchers must consider a wide variety of factors in order to be successful in their field. Meteorological activity, airspace restrictions, airline operations and many other changing factors play a part in their role. The Flight Operations and Dispatch associates degree and Aircraft Dispatch minor programs prepare students to take the FAA written exam for aircraft dispatcher and the FAA practical exam to receive an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
