English Requirements

For most courses at Charles Sturt University, you can meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements by doing one of the following:

  • providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English

  • obtaining Academic IELTS within the last 2 years, with a minimum overall score of 6 and no individual score below 5.5

  • obtaining a qualification deemed to be equivalent to Academic IELTS (and its minimum scores) by Charles Sturt.

Other Requirements

A completed High School Certificate with an ATAR equivalent of 65 (including adjustment factors) or equivalent.
OR
A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification.
OR
50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification.
OR
A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
OR
Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

Course Information

Consultation with industry leaders in the agricultural sector has identified the need for graduates skilled in business, management and finance who have technical agricultural training, and managers trained in agricultural production enterprises. This course has been tailored to ensure it delivers such graduates. In the area of agricultural production, you’ll study crop and pasture production and management, soil science, livestock production systems, property planning and livestock management. In the area of agribusiness management, you will learn about rural management, business economics, the agribusiness supply chain, financial planning, marketing, business law, commodity pricing, risk management and human resource management. Employment opportunities range from the rural service industries of regional areas to international trade and finance activities undertaken by multinational corporations. You will have many career options in marketing, accounting, finance, people management, international business, agricultural enterprise management and sustainable resource management.
