Course Information

  • If you’re interested in making a sustainable difference, the environmental practice programs at Royal Roads University can help you develop the skills, knowledge, connections and career flexibility you need to succeed.
  • Developed in partnership with ECO Canada (Environmental Careers Organization of Canada), the BA in Environmental Practice (BAEP) curriculum aligns with established environmental career paths and fulfills the academic requirements for Environmental Professional (EP) certification consistent with National Occupational Standards. The BAEP program is offered as a 4-year undergraduate degree for students typically entering from high school (or equivalent), as well as a 60-credit degree-completion option delivered entirely online. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for certification as an Environmental Professional in-training (EPt).
  • We offer both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice as each program maintains a distinct career emphasis, and therefore built-in degree focus tailored to your specific interests. The Bachelor of Arts pathway takes a sustainable and interdisciplinary approach to environmental policy, management, community development and more, so you can implement and inspire effective change.
