The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics degree is designed to support those students interested in a general mathematics degree for a variety of careers in business and industry, or for those interested in a secondary teaching certification. For students seeking secondary teaching certification, the strong mathematical foundation will help them prepare for the state teacher exam. The multi-strand course requirements, along with a well organized list of elective courses and a carefully selected minor relevant to career goals, will prepare students to meet the challenges in educational institutions or the business and industrial world.
