Admission Requirements

Entry Requirement

  • Australian Year 12 or equivalent; and

English Requirement

  • Academic IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent.

Other Requirement

Year 12 or equivalent with ATAR 60 Applicants are eligible to be considered for a place in a Torrens University Australia undergraduate program if they have one of the following:

  • A completed higher education qualification at AQF level 5 (diploma) or above, or equivalent, from an Australian University or another accredited higher education provider
  • Successful completion of at least 1 EFTSL (equivalent full time student load, or one full year) of an AQF level 6 (Associate Degree) or above, or equivalent, from an Australian University or another accredited higher education provider
  • A completed vocational education qualification at AQF level 4 (Certificate IV) or above, or equivalent, from a registered training organisation (RTO)

Course Information

Western Herbal Medicine Practitioners use a holistic approach to healthcare. During your studies, you will learn about health science, clinical assessment, pharmacology, herbal synergy, quality and safety issues affecting prescribing decisions. As a part of your practice, you will also learn how to provide basic dietary and lifestyle advice to your clients. You will also gain hands-on experience at The Practice Wellbeing Centre consulting with members of the public under the guidance of experienced Western Herbal Medicine practitioners. Work-Integrated Learning and Clinical Practicum Experience are embedded throughout the course and are incorporated into theory subjects.
