The School of Computing, Engineering and Maths offers an dvanced degree called the, Bachelor of Information Systems (Advanced). Accredited by the Australian Computer Society, this three-year course focuses on computing and information technology in the context of business and commerce. In addition to the generic content of the program, this course focuses on advanced activities, extension projects, research training and hands-on experience with real-life business and commercial projects. In addition to what is covered in the non-advanced Bachelor of Information Systems, the Advanced course provides you with a mentor to support and guide you throughout your studies, and links you with experienced academic staff and industry professionals to provide you with training. You will also have the opportunity to take part in the school’s research groups and projects. Within this program, you will be required to complete two compulsory core Advanced units and an additional three Advanced units of your choice.
This degree focuses on computing and information technology in the context of business. In addition to the generic content described for Bachelor of Information Systems, this course utilises advanced activities, extension projects, research training and hands on work on real business projects.
During this program you will have a mentor who will support and guide you throughout the degree. This program will also link you with experienced academic staff and industry partners who will provide you with continuous training and supervision. In addition you will be invited to join research groups which will allow you to take part in large research projects.
The Bachelor of Information Systems Advanced is accredited with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at Professional Level.
