Entry requirement

The Spring international application deadline is Dec. 12

The Fall international application deadline is Aug. 2

  • had an average GPA of 3.59 and an average combined Evidence Based Reading and Math SAT score of 1239 (ACT equivalent 26)

English requirement

  • A minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper version of the test, 213 on the computer-based version or a 79-80 on the internet-based version. IELTS minimum score: 6.5.
  • Freshman applicants may waive the TOEFL, IELTS exam if their secondary institution provides written verification that the means of instruction is in English, they are enrolled in an IB curriculum, attend an American School or enrolled in a curriculum that leads to Cambridge International Examinations: IGCSE/O-Level and GCE/A level exam.

  • Many graduates of the Applied Biomedical Sciences degree program gain immediate employment.
  • Study Health Sciences and the Practice of Laboratory Medicine.

  • The Applied Biomedical Sciences degree program provides a high quality education in biomedical and laboratory sciences. 

Students take a robust core of basic and applied sciences, combined with multiple hands-on laboratory courses, and then choose between two options: 

  • Clinical Science Option - Prepare for employment in fields associated with diagnostics and research, such as pharmaceutical, forensic and research science and medical device research and development.
  • Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Option - Prepare for employment in hospital clinical laboratories and biotechnology companies. 

NOTE: Students in the MLS option are initially accepted into the Clinical Science option. After one successful semester in the CS option, students are eligible to apply to the MLS program.

All students must complete a basic core of science courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Physiological Chemistry, and Basic Clinical Microbiology.
