WHY GET A DUAL J.D. AND MASTER’S DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION?

Getting a dual J.D. and MBA degree can be a big advantage in a career involving law and business in today’s complex global economy. You can save time and money, finishing in three and a half years compared to pursuing both degrees separately. You’ll combine the strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills of a law degree with the leadership, people management, business development and negotiation abilities of an MBA, making you a prime candidate for high-level management positions in law, finance, consulting and business sectors. In addition, the dual degree can be valuable in pursuing a public interest career, which requires a multi-faceted toolkit to tackle challenges and opportunities in government, nonprofits and beyond.

WHY STUDY LAW AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AT UNH?

Take advantage of UNH’s combined academic strengths — Paul College's recognized success in training future entrepreneurs, accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the gold standard for business schools; and UNH Franklin Pierce’s expertise in intellectual property and innovation law, ranked No. 4 for IP law by U.S. News & World Report, and ranking among the top 10 in the country for more than two decades. You’ll finish year one at the law school, and then combine J.D. and MBA courses for the balance of your program, taking MBA courses either at our Manchester campus or online.
