Cardiovascular technology is one of three distinct program options offered by BCIT’s Advanced Certificate in Cardiac Sciences program. There is a global need for cardiovascular technologists. We train allied health professionals to perform invasive exploratory heart procedures in the operating room. It’s a demanding job, and our graduates are ready.

Our individual courses can be used for professional development to enrich your current role. You can also complete the advanced certificate and transition to a career in cardiovascular technology.
Cardiovascular technologists work in hospital operating rooms with wages starting at approximately $34 per hour. Critical care nurses who complete this advanced certificate earn on average $8-10 more per hour.
