As a construction manager, you will be involved in the planning and coordination of a project from concept to completion, ensuring the client’s needs are met.
Our accredited course is developed with industry partners. You’ll build your knowledge and skills through site visits, field trips and practical laboratory workshops, specialist equipment and the latest technologies including BIM to help bring learning to life.
Working in interdisciplinary teams, you gain experience of projects and scenarios that reflect the professional environment. Visiting lecturers share their expertise to give you a feel for what the working world is like.
The option of a work placement year helps to cement your learning and build both your experience and network of professional contacts.

Placement year
After year 2 you can choose to undertake a year-long placement in industry.
A placement year offers an excellent opportunity to gain work experience, build a professional network, increase your confidence, develop existing skills and discover new ones. The experience also significantly enhances your CV.
Students have undertaken placements within organisations including RG Group, ISG, Wates, Kier, Willmott Dixon, Osborne, Mace, Buro4 and Morgan Sindall.
Final year
In your final year you will develop and complete your individual project. You will also choose from option modules, giving you flexibility to specialise in areas that interest you most.
