Duolingo English Test (DET) score of 105 for General Admission to most Certificate and Diploma programs, and Bachelor of Business Administration programs (exceptions: Nursing and certain other Health-related programs). Score of 115 for admission to Post-Degree programs (all majors) and Degree programs offered by Centre for Sport and Exercise Education.
The course requirements for the Associate Degree program credential are mandated by the provincial government. You must complete a total of 20 university transfer courses, and achieve an overall GPA of 2.0 ("C"), to obtain an Associate of Arts Degree. No course may be used to meet more than one of the specific requirements; 25% of your courses must be completed at Camosun College.

The Diploma in Arts and Science Studies allows you to design your own full- or part-time program. Discover your passions by taking courses from many disciplines, or concentrate on a particular subject area if you already have a specific educational goal in mind.
Diploma to degree
The Diploma in Arts and Science Studies may lead you directly into a specific program or degree at another institution. If you are headed to UVic, you can complete your first two years of university study at Camosun. Our Academic Advising department can help you to choose the right courses for transfer into third-year studies at UVic or at many other institutions.
If you decide not to pursue a degree, the Diploma in Arts and Science Studies is a useful addition to your résumé, as many employers look for successful completion of two years of post-secondary education.
Work experience
During your Diploma in Arts and Science Studies, you can take a Co-op or Internship option to complement your studies.
You will gain practical work experience, which may be paid or unpaid, through either one four-month internship or two co-op work terms. You can take your work term after you have completed at least eight courses in the program.

To complete this diploma program, you will take 20 courses at the 100-level or higher. If you're a full-time student, this will usually mean ten courses each year.
Years 1 and 2
Effective Date: September 2019
To earn your diploma in Arts and Science Studies:
You must complete 20 courses (minimum 60 credits) at the 100-level or higher.
At least 14 of the courses (minimum 42 credits) must be subjects offered by the School of Arts and Science.
The remaining six courses (minimum 18 credits) may be from other subjects, as long as they are at the 100-level or higher.
Year 1: 100-level or higher UT courses, 10, 30
Year 2: 100-level or higher UT courses, 10, 30

After you have completed at least eight courses, you can choose to complement your diploma with two co-op work terms or an internship.
Work-integrated learning such as an internship increases your chances of getting better employment when you graduate. A University of Waterloo study showed that students who integrate a work term into their academic program are more likely to get great jobs in their field when they graduate.

In addition to regular program content, students pursuing the Co-op designation will be required to successfully complete two (2) Co-operative Work Experience courses:
