Admission Requirements

Entry Requirement

Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 12) or an equivalent overseas qualification.  Minimum overall pass is required. 

English Requirements

International students need to provide additional evidence of language skills including one of the following:

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a band score of at least 5.5, or equivalent, OR

  • Completion of Year 12 English at an Australian secondary school or college, or equivalent

International students seeking admission to SAE must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.

Course Information

SAE offers you a unique, internationally accredited qualification through hands-on training with the Diploma of Music Industry.

Advance your theoretical knowledge of recording and mixing while following professional considerations of working in the industry. Explore the fundamentals of digital audio workstation (DAW) operations and develop your practical skills in the production of studio sound. Students will truly be mixing it with the industry's best. This program offers you a chance to collaborate with your peers and be a part of a large community of budding audio engineers through SAE's worldwide network.

This course is a career pathway to higher education. Upon completion, you have the option to transfer into our Bachelor of Audio.
