The Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Neuropsychology) is a graduate research degree that incorporates advanced clinical training in clinical neuropsychology. It integrates theory, practice and research to qualify you as a highly skilled clinical neuropsychologist, able to assess and treat children and adults with neurological and psychological disorders.
The program consists two years of intensive, skills-based coursework, three clinical placements in a range of hospital and community settings, and a research thesis that makes a significant contribution to the field of clinical neuropsychology.
This intensive coursework program includes units in neuroanatomy, neuropsychological assessment, ethics and professional practice, and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
You’ll apply this knowledge in a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical placements, exposing you to a diverse range of client groups. Our placements provide comprehensive experience in child and adolescent, acute neurology, geriatric, psychiatric and rehabilitation settings, including our renowned clinic, the Monash Psychology Centre.
