The main objective of the Economics Foundation course is to give students a good working knowledge of economics. This knowledge can be used either as a foundation for further study as a single subject or as part of a wider business-related course at university.
The course will introduce key topics such as how markets work and fail, macro-economic principles and policies and international economics. The course is made up of 4 core subjects which are Economics, Business, International Relations and Maths. These core subjects are combined with English lessons and a weekly session with a personal tutor who will support and guide throughout your time at St Andrew’s College. Our classes are small and we have experienced teachers who are able to provide you with the individual attention you need to be successful.
Successful completion of the course will allow you to apply for Economics based undergraduate courses at university or business-related courses such as Marketing, Business Management and Accountancy and Finance.
