Entry Requirements

  • You should have an undergraduate degree Grade Point Average of at least 2.75/4.0. Some degree programs require a higher Grade Point Average, though. See below for the full list of Grade Point Average requirements for each major.

  • If you have completed any previous graduate/master’s degree courses, you must have an overall graduate level Grade Point Average of at least a 3.0/4.0.

Incoming international graduate students must meet one of the criteria’s set forth in the below chart.

  • Completion of A-State's ESL Program: 90% or Above

  • Completion of CEA accredited language program: Completion certificate for completing all levels

  • Completion of HOFT Institute ESL Program: Completion certificate of the program

  • TOEFL-Paper Based*: 550

  • TOEFL-Paper Based, Revised*: 60

  • TOEFL-Internet Based***: 79

  • IELTS*: 6.0

  • PTE (Pearson Test of English Academic): 56

  • iTEP Academic Plus*: 4.5

  • EIKEN: Grade Pre-1

  • SAT scores**: 550 (total on the Evidence-Based Reading/Writing score)

  • ACT scores**: 21 (total, and on both English and Reading sections)

  • High School Marks (India, Nepal and Pakistan): 65% in English at X and XII in Certificate

  • High School Marks (Kenya): 75% in English in Grade 10 and Grade 12

  • IB (International Baccalaureate): 5, 6 or 7 on English: Literature or Language & Literature

  • University Graduate from USA, UK, Canada (except Quebec), Australia and New Zealand: Must have completed two years there and graduated

  • Duolingo English Test: 105

*A-State’s institutional code to receive electronic tests is 6011.

Course Information

The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program, a one-year master’s degree plan consisting of 30 semester credit hours, is designed for all engineers on management career paths as well as for those charged with managing technology in engineering, manufacturing, and other high-tech organizations. The MEM degree program will also benefit engineers pursuing licensure in states where candidates for professional licensure are required to have an additional 30 semester credit hours of coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in engineering. The curriculum consists of courses offered by the A-State College of Engineering and Computer Science.
