About the Program
The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).
Program Outcomes
Make effective, appropriate, and ethical decisions taking into consideration, corporate social responsibility and environmentally sustainable practices within the four fundamental areas of business (operations, marketing, human resources, and finance) in domestic and international settings aligning with government programs, policies, and agencies which facilitate international trade.
Conduct business with diverse populations using culturally appropriate methods in compliance with relevant national and international law, practices, policies, and practices.
Apply effective supply chain and project management practices to support all functions of a business considering domestic and international perspectives and customs.
Employ entrepreneurial strategies in the development of new products, services and markets to maximize the effectiveness of international business initiatives.
Analyze business situations, using critical and creative thinking, and evidence from research and data to support recommendations and decision making in domestic and international settings.
Collaborate with others to analyze business problems, generate alternatives, develop recommendations, and create action plans and/or persuasive business reports in domestic and international contexts.
Assess and use information technology to increase business efficiency and/or effectiveness.
