Junior School (Year 9)

Learning for Years 9 students occurs on our dedicated Junior School sites at East Keilor

Diagnostic testing, targeted teaching and ongoing monitoring helps students make continual progress along the learning continuum. Relevant, interesting and differentiated tasks offering choice and collaboration, engage students in rich learning opportunities. Our students also have access to the digital tools that facilitate sourcing and applying knowledge.

All students are taught to chart their progress through the cycle of goal development, learning, responding to feedback and reflecting on their outcomes. It’s a process that helps students take responsibility for their own learning.

Broad learning through the classroom program is complemented at all year levels by involvement in:

• Interschool sport

• Instrumental music

• leadership training and opportunities including SRC membership

• Year level camps

• campus performance evening

• lunchtime clubs

• excursions and incursions.
