Why Kingston School of Art, Knights Park

Situated on the banks of the Hogsmill River in central Kingston, Kingston School of Art, Knights Park is the picturesque base for our art, design and architecture students. Performing arts, journalism, media and humanities students also have access to the campus.

Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood, it has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Its size and location make the campus more intimate than the larger sites.

Kingston School of Art's student restaurant and bar open onto the waterside. Alongside is a reception gallery with an art shop and social space. The University's Stanley Picker Gallery is also based at Knights Park.

The learning resources centre (LRC) has created a brand-new interdisciplinary learning zone at the heart of Kingston School of Art. The new centre is part of an £11million improvement programme at Knights Park, which includes the refurbishment of studio space, an upgraded reception and gallery area and external landscaping.

Designed by Stirling Prize-winning architects Haworth Tompkins, the phased completion of this project is targeted for the end of 2019.
