Deakin’s Master of Communication is suited to those looking to upskill in their careers, as well as those wanting to break into a new industry. Taught by industry experts, it offers flexibility in focus and structure: you have the opportunity to undertake intensive studies by choosing a specialisation. These specialisations, in combination with core units, ensure you graduate with a versatile skill set for the jobs of the future. The degree also includes a capstone program of study. For this, you can complete either a research project relevant to industry practice or an academic research project, which offers a potential pathway into PhD studies. This hands-on-learning focus is further supported by access to state-of-the-art facilities. Depending on your area of study, you may use Deakin’s newsroom, TV production facilities, and sound recording studios.
