The Master of Health Economics program is a joint initiative of UQ's School of Economics and School of Public Health. You'll work closely with leading academic staff from both schools.

Study can be tailored to suit your career path, with specialised electives in health financing, public economics, health systems and cost-effectiveness. You'll also have the option to complete an original research thesis.

This 1.5 year full-time program will suit students who already have an education in economics, business or commerce, with the program designed to build on your advanced understanding of economic concepts.

Upon graduation, you'll have developed the tools to create change and solve problems in health policy and healthcare, so you can contribute to the long-term sustainability of healthcare systems in Australia or overseas.
