Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to have completed:

  • a bachelor degree (or higher award) in any discipline from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent; or

  • the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Information Technology; or

  • the Postgraduate Qualifying Program (available to International applicants only)

  • Applicants who have additional qualifications may be eligible to enter the program with Advanced Standing and may be able to complete the program in less than two years.

Course Information

The Master of Information Technology provides the knowledge and skills required to design, develop and maintain complex systems using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies. It includes a general introduction to ICT and provides the opportunity for students to gain advanced specialist skills in areas such as networks, software development, and information systems analysis and management.

Students also have the opportunity to apply their skills through industry-related project work, including industry-linked projects for real clients. This project work can demonstrate students’ skills and knowledge to potential future employers.

The program incorporates units from the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology and Graduate Certificate of Information Technology.
