Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • We normally require a honours degree at 2:2 or above in an engineering or business related discipline.
  • We would strongly encourage applicants who do not meet the normal entry requirement but who have relevant qualifications or professional experience to apply. In your application, you should describe in detail your professional experience and qualifications.

English requirements

  • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*).

The optional modules listed are those that are most likely to be available, but they may be subject to change.

The full Master's course comprises 180 credits divided into three 60 credit stages: Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and Masters. Students work incrementally through the three stages and must pass all modules at each stage in order to progress to the next.

You will study the following compulsory modules:

  • Sustainable Engineering for Global Challenges
  • Finance for non-Financial Managers
  • Strategic Analysis of Technical Operations
  • Engineering Project Management
  • Process Design and Management
  • Dissertation (Masters).

In addition, you will select two options from the following modules:

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Principles of Lean Engineering
  • Product Design and Development
  • Simulation.
