Since the Pacific International Hotel Management School opened its doors to students in 1995, around 1500 students have graduated with the right skills, knowledge and experience to take up a career in the hospitality, tourism and business industry worldwide.PIHMS graduates can be found working in all of the major hotels around New Zealand and in many hotels around the world. Graduates are employed in all positions throughout hotels from entry level food & beverage attendant and receptionist positions to supervisory positions throughout all departments, from financial/accounts positions to senior front office and food & beverage managers and even hotel managers.
Having the right facilities is only a small part of creating student success; the facilities listed below are an important part of the integrated learning experienced by all students. PIHMS is committed to assisting all students as per guidelines in the governments Code of Practice of Pastoral Care of International Students. PIHMS has a full time Student Support coordinator, on-campus and available to students when required. As a signatory to the Code of Practice of Pastoral Care of International Students (2003), PIHMS has developed the PIHMS Code of Practice for Pastoral Care. As part of on-going NZQA audits, it was confirmed that PIHMS had met all requirements of the Code.
