This programme is for students who need to pass a PTE Academic exam. The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is an English test trusted by universities, colleges and governments around the world.

This programme focuses on PTE Academic and General English modules. Campbell teachers are specially trained to prepare students for the PTE Academic exam, and students receive access to a wide range of resources and practice materials.

The test itself is quick, with results typically delivered within five days. English skills are integrated throughout the test, which has been designed from the ground up to meet the needs of English-speaking institutions and organisations around the world.

Career Opportunity

Job Hunter is a free weekly workshop for students studying at Campbell and seeking work in New Zealand. It is ideal for students on a Working Holiday Visa or a Student Visa and who meet the criteria for work rights (ie full time study for a minimum of 14 weeks).Job Hunter is held each Thursday after regular classes have finished and is open to students with intermediate English and above.

General Overview: This is a course designed to provide students with the basic skills and the confidence to find and apply for a job while staying in New Zealand.

Outcomes

At the end of the course the students will have:

  • A complete professional looking CV
  • A professional cover letter that they can adapt for different applications
  • The skills and language ability to approach businesses and enquire about jobs
  • Developed their awareness of interview skills and behaviour
  • A knowledge of common employment specific vocabulary
