Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements

  • B.C. secondary school graduation, or equivalent, or 19 years of age and out of secondary school for at least one year as of the first day of classes.

  • A minimum of 50% in any of:

    • Pre-calculus Grade 11

    • Foundations of Mathematics Grade 11

    • Workplace Mathematics 11

    • Principles of Mathematics 11

    • Applications of Mathematics 11

    • Essentials of Mathematics 11

    • Adult Basic Education MATH 011

    • Adult Basic Education MATH 084 and MATH 085

    • Adult Basic Education IALG 011

  • Or a minimum of 63% on the Trades Entrance Assessment (TEA) mathematics test. Test scores are only good for two (2) years.             

  • Applicants who have not satisfied the Math requirement within the last seven (7) years must write the TEA Mathematics test and must receive a minimum of 63%.

English Requirements

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS - academic version), Overall band score of 6.0 (with no band less than 6.0)

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), 79 (Internet-based), or 213 (computer-based), or 550 (paper-based)

Course Information

Program Highlights

Learn the necessary skills to become an apprentice RV Service Technician. Take practical hands-on classes in the use of proper tools, systems and safety-related activities as they pertain to the maintenance of recreation vehicles. 

Okanagan College offers the only entry-level Recreation Vehicle Service Technician Foundation program in Canada.

This 31-week (950 hour) program has been designed to take a student with little or no previous experience and supply him/her with the necessary skills to seek employment as an apprentice RV Service Technician. The program exposes the student to many aspects of servicing and repair in the RV repair trade with a focus on developing practical skills. Graduates of this program will receive credit for Level 1 Apprenticeship technical training and 550 hours practical credit from the Industry Training Authority.
