About

General Description

Torrens University Australia brings a fresh, modern, careers-focused and global perspective to higher education.

Our courses are aimed at providing graduates with a globally oriented skill-set that will make them a valuable commodity to any employer.

Torrens’ place in Laureate International Universities ensures that students graduate with more than a degree; they graduate from the largest education network in the world, ready for whatever challenge the world throws their way.

We offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a variety of disciplines. These courses are delivered through our incredible family of schools and a prestigious array of collaborations; leading institutions that all boast strong links to industry in Australia and overseas.

Our campuses span across Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane. Wherever possible, we also offer courses online to provide convenient access to students.

Why choose Leura Campus

LIVE AND STUDY IN A SIMULATED HOTEL ENVIRONMENT

Undergraduate students undertaking bachelor programs study at the Leura Campus, known as the Practical Learning Centre, before moving on to 3rd year event and hospitality management courses at Sydney Campus.

While on campus at Leura, students ‘check-in’ and run the School as a simulated hotel, performing operational food and beverage management, restaurant service, housekeeping and front-desk duties as part of their practical development. Residential life on campus allows for greater personal and professional development, as well as building a strong network of friends and future colleagues.

Leura campus provides an ideal venue for students to immerse themselves in the world of tourism and travel. Most hospitality management courses in Sydney do not combine 2 different tourist destinations – city and mountains – for students to learn in quite like BMIHMS at Torrens University does.

Social Activities

The Student Representative Council (SRC) runs a range of events from sports teams, cultural nights, charity fundraisers and trips to local attractions.

Campus Duty Manager

Leura Campus has a 24/7 duty manager available to support students with any issues, concerns or emergencies.
