1. International Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of Aberdeen International Undergraduate Scholarship is worth one year’s tuition fee and is open to all international undergraduate students studying for at least 4 years or more at the University of Aberdeen (excludes Medicine & Dentistry). If you are an international student entering into an undergraduate degree programme of at least four years duration we will offer you a scholarship equivalent to the tuition fee in your fourth year. If you are studying a five year degree (excludes Medicine & Dentistry), the scholarship will be applied in your fifth year.

Eligibility

• You must be applying for undergraduate study beginning in September 2019
• You should be classed as international for the purposes of tuition fees
• The scholarship cannot be deferred to September 2020, it only applies to eligible students starting in September 2019

2. Aberdeen International Masters Scholarship

Summary

As part of our commitment to attracting the very best students to join our diverse international community, we are delighted to offer the Aberdeen International Masters Scholarship. This scholarship is in the form of a £2,000 tuition fee discount and is open to self-funding students who are nationals of Vietnam, China, Malaysia, and African countries, and are classed as international for tuition fee purposes.

Criteria

You must have been given a conditional or unconditional offer of admissions for an eligible Masters programme (postgraduate taught programme) at the University of Aberdeen. ­­You must be planning on beginning your studies in January 2019 or September 2019. ­You must be classed as overseas for tuition fee purposes. ­You must be a full-time international student. ­You must be based on the Aberdeen campus for the course of study.

3. China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship

Criteria

• Applicants must be citizens of the People’s Republic of China at the time of application
• Applicants for a full PhD programme must have a Master’s degree and must be under the age of 35
• The relevant academic entry requirements must be fulfilled, including a high level of English language proficiency and a Master's degree
• Applicants must hold an offer of acceptance from the University of Aberdeen
• Applicants should satisfy the CSC selection criteria by completing the CSC Application Form and the CSC Employer Reference Form
• CSC scholars must return to China upon completion of their research

3. Research Fellow

An enthusiastic and skilled research fellow is sought to work within Professor Lora Heisler’s research group in the Rowett Institute, University of Aberdeen.  The overall aim of Professor Heisler’s research programme is to investigate the basic neurophysiology of appetite, body weight, and insulin action by examining the neurocircuitry of neurotransmitter and neuropeptide systems with the aim of improving metabolic health.

4. Summer intern: Summer Intern- Communication, Engagement and Accessibility in MyAberdeen: the Student Perspective

As part of the institutional project reviewing and implementing enhancements to the institutional Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), MyAberdeen has been enhanced with a new base navigation and Ally, which aids the accessibility of content by creating alternative accessible formats.
