Completion of three-year post-secondary study qualification (equivalent to post-Year 12). 

Note: applications are assessed by Deakin University.

English language requirements:

IELTS of 6 with no individual band score below 6.

Course Information

The MQP is a non-award program designed for international students whose academic qualifications and/or English proficiency levels are marginally below the entry requirements for coursework masters programs. Deakin University's Masters Qualifying Program (MQP) will develop the core skills you need for success at selected postgraduate level courses at Deakin.

Taught by Deakin College and Deakin University's English Language Institute (DUELI), Deakin University offers the Masters Qualifying Program (Business and Law). This non-award program is designed to provide a quality pathway to Deakin University's postgraduate programs in Business. Successful completion of this course allows you to meet the University's English language requirements for postgraduate study.

Pathway to Daekin University

Students must meet the entrance criteria for entry into specified postgraduate coursework programs at Deakin University.

Entrance Criteria

To be eligible for one of the postgraduate programs, you must successfully complete all four MQP units and achieve a minimum credit grade of 60 percent in the two discipline-based units undertaken.

Students seeking admission to the Master of International Business must also have completed studies in a business-related discipline at post-secondary level.

To be eligible for the Master of Business Administration (International) and associated combined degree courses, you must successfully complete all four MQP units with an average mark of 65 percent and a minimum credit grade (60 percent) in the two discipline-based units
