Located on Canada's spectacular west coast, the Surrey School District is located just 40 minutes southeast of the city of Vancouver and 2 hours north of Seattle, Washington, USA. Surrey provides educational services to students residing in one of Canada's fastest growing cities, the city of Surrey, and the beautiful ocean-side community of White Rock.

The Surrey School District is the largest public school district in British Columbia, Canada and the ideal place for international students to achieve their academic goals while experiencing a true Canadian lifestyle. International students are invited to study with Canadian students in all 100+ elementary and 20 secondary schools, provided there is space. International students can enroll twice each school year (September and February) and are integrated into regular classes with Canadian students while receiving ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction as necessary. There are a limited number of international students (5%) enrolled in each school so that each student receives the support and services necessary to ensure their educational success. Currently, over 1,100 international students are studying amongst 75,000 domestic students.

6. International students are fully integrated with Canadian students, so they will get to experience our culture and share their own rich heritage with domestic students. Additionally, your child will be supported by dedicated and government-certified teachers at all of our schools.
7. We offer enrollment twice a year for secondary and elementary students, so there is no need to wait to find your child a place at one of our schools.
8. By School Board policy, there are a limited number of international students in each school so that we will be able to focus on your child's unique educational needs and help them reach their potential.
9. Surrey and White Rock, where we are located, offer safe, clean and friendly neighbourhoods located within minutes from downtown Vancouver, so your child can experience what our corner of Canada has to offer.
