Overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian qualifications are based on the guidelines established by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (
IELTS academic overall score of at least 6.0, with no sub-band less than 5.5.
TOEFL score of at least 213 in the computer-based test OR at least 79 in the internet-based test. You must receive a rating of no less than 22 in the written component.
PTE minimum overall score of 57 with no skill less than 50.
To be eligible, you must have received your English language test score within two years of the date of application for admission to UNE.
The Advanced Diploma in Paralegal Studies course provides students with the opportunity to complete a course dedicated to preparatory skills and studies in law, regardless of their educational background.
This course will be attractive to students who would like to graduate with a degree by completing 12 units. This course also offers students who wish to continue their studies in law the opportunity to transfer to the Bachelor of Legal Studies or to take advantage of the pathway to the Bachelor of Laws (4 year). It will also attract those with a general interest in law and those who wish to study particular areas of law in order to be able to work, for example, as a paralegal or legal secretary.
