Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • A completed application form.

  • An official secondary school transcript or GED certificate.

    • The official final high school transcript, indicating proof of graduation must be submitted before a student is able to attend classes. 

  • Optional items:

    • An essay of 200 words or more on why you would like to earn a degree at Seton Hill. 

    • Letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor or one recommendation form. Additional recommendations are welcome and may represent other sources. 

    • Official score reports from either the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or the ACT test (American College Testing Program). (Information about Test Optional alternative.)

  • A transcript evaluation from the World Education Services (WES).

  • Proof of English proficiency

English requirements

  • TOEFL score of at least 213 (computer-based), or 79-80 (Internet based).

  • IELTS score of 6.0.

  • Completion of 30 semester hours at a U.S. university.

  • Completion of an ESL program.

  • SAT score of at least a 470 on the critical reading section.

  • ACT composite score of 20 or higher.

  • Duolingo score of at least 100.

Course Information

A bachelor's degree in fine art from Seton Hill University will prepare you for graduate study (M.F.A.), or to begin a career in art or visually related professions. With the ability to specialize in either 2D or 3D art, Seton Hill students are equipped with the skills and experience they need to move forward into their dream careers in the arts.
