Mercyhurst offers rolling admissions. Offers of admission are sent out on a case-by-case basis relatively quickly after we receive your completed application. Many programs can be started in the fall or spring semesters; start dates vary by program.
The components of a completed application are:
A completed free online application
Official high school transcripts (sent from the high school)
If you are currently a senior, a transcript with grades through your junior year will suffice. If you end up enrolling at Mercyhurst, we will need your official, final transcript before the start of the academic year
Official college transcripts (if applicable)
If you've attended any college during your academic career, we will need official transcripts from each institution you've attended for both admission and financial aid reasons. If you are currently enrolled at a college, your latest transcript will suffice, but an updated "final" transcript from that institution is required before the academic year begins. Transfer credit evaluation will not occur without official college transcripts.

Mercyhurst University’s Associate of Science in Criminal Justice program affords students the ability to take a broad spectrum of courses that are designed to provide a basic understanding of the criminal justice system, to theorize why people commit crime, to review judicial processes and constitutional safeguards, and to examine the effectiveness of correctional systems. Thus, our program encompasses all aspects of the criminal justice system. Our curriculum prepares students for entry-level positions in public and private sectors, in safety and protective services, in legal and victim service arenas, and in correctional facilities and re-entry agencies.
