The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Music will prepare students for a wide variety of musical careers through technical instruction and hands-on experiences with talented LIU faculty and Roc Nation world-renowned regular visiting artists. Students will study ear training and musicianship, harmony and counterpoint, music notation software, and receive instrument training. Performing in ensembles while also studying the origins of musical genres. Distinctive elective courses such as Women in Music, Music Business, and more will give students unmatched insight into the process of building a successful career in the music industry.
LIU’s one-of-a-kind partnership with Roc Nation within the confines of New York City will give students a view of the music industry as an insider and open a world of opportunity through distinct transformational internships and developed connections with LIU faculty and Roc Nation experts.
