Entry requirements

Applicants must have completed one or more years in a Bachelor of Science with a B+ grade average or achieved NCEA level 3 with a rank score of at least 260 (or 310 in CIE, or 33 in IB) and at least 16 credits each in two approved subjects, or equivalent CIE, or IB in university approved subjects.

English requirements

IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0.

Course Information

The four-year Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) is a new postgraduate degree for both school leavers and students currently completing a Bachelor of Science.

Current Bachelor of Science students can transfer into the Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at any time if they have a B+ average or higher. High achieving school leavers can enter directly into the degree.

You can choose from eight specialisations: Applied Conservation, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geospatial Science, Microbiology or Molecular Genetics.
