Course Information

Agriculture is facing many new challenges. We need new ideas, new ways of learning, new ways of producing; we need ‘new agriculture’. In year one of this course, you’ll build a strong foundation in the basic sciences (animal physiology, botany, chemistry, microbiology and soil science) and their importance in agriculture. In years two and three you’ll focus on agribusiness, animal nutrition, crop and pasture science, and other agricultural management areas. In the fourth year you have a choice of two pathways: a professional pathway or an agricultural research (Honours) pathway. You may choose to exit the degree with a Bachelor of Agriculture after completing 24 subjects.
