Programme Objectives
This programme aims to provide graduates a broad understanding of national and international developments and contemporary issues in aviation with specific reference to enterprise innovation and disaster management.
An optional residential visit will be offered during the year. Students will experience a long haul flight and access airside ground handling facilities at a major international hub in order to gauge an appreciation for the operations and business management of an airport. All visits will be at the student’s expense and all students will be provided with clear booking terms and conditions regarding their place on the residential. The course leader will ensure that students are made aware of all major international trips prior to induction in order to provide students with an appropriate timescale to consider such enrichment opportunities. All trips and visits are optional and students who embark on any trip, will be asked to share their experiences on returning to the classroom.
Graduation
Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Airline and Airport Management (Top-Up) from the Teesside University, UK. The degree will be the same as that awarded to the full-time students at the University main campus in the UK.
