You may choose to earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Our ABET-accredited BS program focuses on natural science, mathematics and computer science, and will allow you explore a deeper study of the subject area. The BA program allows you to combine your Computer Science interests with a major or a minor in another area of study.

What You'll Learn

You will gain a strong foundation in computer science, and the critical skills that will enhance your professional expertise and prepare you to face the challenges of the modern workplace, including:

  • Programming in a variety of languages, such as Java, C, C++, C#, Python, PHP, Javascript, Swift, Assembly, and more.
  • Database development using SQL

You will also have opportunities for collaborative research, often leading to placement in scientific publications.

In each of our concentrations, you’ll learn more about a specific aspect of the computer science and technology landscape, and the skills you’ll need to build a successful career in that area.

Cyber Security: Cyber Security experts are in great demand. You will gain an understanding of information security technology and learn how to protect systems from cyber attacks so that you can help companies and individuals protect their information.

Game Development: Game development is a fast-growing industry. Expand your creativity and technical know-how as you gain the knowledge and skills necessary to develop games and simulations using cutting-edge virtual/augmented reality and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
