Course Information

Study people's behaviour, their cognitive processes, and the factors that influence all of us to think and act in different ways. Through this degree you will combine research with professional study, and draw on subjects from both liberal and creative arts.

The Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) combines research-based and professional studies in psychology with broad studies in the liberal and creative arts. It provides you with opportunities to develop skills of critical and systematic thinking; an imaginative understanding and appreciation of the theory and practice of the social sciences, the humanities or the arts; and enhanced cultural sensitivity and understanding through genuine reciprocity of values. Following successful completion of this degree, graduates may apply for a fourth year of psychology study (including Deakin’s Graduate Diploma of Psychology or honours in psychology). The Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) (Honours) is only available to Deakin graduates.
