Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

  • NCEA level 3 (i.e. a minimum of 60 credits at level 3 or above plus 20 credits at level 2 or above); and
  • A minimum of 14 credits at level 3 or higher in each of three approved subjects; and
  • Literacy – 5 reading credits and 5 writing credits at Level 2 or higher from standards on the NZQA list of university entrance literacy standards; and
  • Numeracy – 10 credits from standards on the NZQA list of numeracy standards.

English requirements

  • IELTS: 6.0 overall, with no individual component less than 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 60 (with at least 18 in writing)
  • Cambrige English: Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE): Overall score of 169, with no individual component less than 162
  • Pearson Test of English PTE: 50 overall score - with no communicative skill less than 42

Course Information

Lincoln University's Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) is a specialised, industry-based degree that will prepares you for leadership in both the farming and agribusiness sectors.

It teaches the bio-economic basis for agriculture through applied academic courses, real-world case studies, field trips and regional study tours. The degree is structured around a number of integrated farm management, plant and livestock production, soil management and agribusiness courses.
