We make decisions based on UCAS applications, practical auditions and interviews.

Course Information

This course will train you as a highly adaptable dancer. You will take part in daily technique classes including contemporary, ballet, commercial and body conditioning.

There are many opportunities to perform, including in works made by professional choreographers for University Dance Company, as well as in work created by your fellow students that are presented in our professional theatre.

There is a focus on learning entrepreneurial skills to help you find, apply for, and create your own work, as well as developing your teaching and leadership skills.

You will also be encouraged to think, write and talk about how dance theory informs your work.

  • Benefit from paid internships and placements with a range of dance organisations, companies, schools and colleges.
  • Explore extra curricular activities including cultural exchanges, dance society and trips.
  • Create a major piece of work for the annual student showcase and dance festival.
  • Learn from our highly experienced teaching team specialising in different areas of dance as well as from visiting dance artists and choreographers.
  • Gain performance experience in our state of the art dance studios and professional 280-seat theatre.
